Talk to Alicia about your concernIt might be the stiffness you notice getting out of the car, the back discomfort that interrupts a workday, or a recurring tight area that makes you hesitate before bending or reaching. You want to feel more at ease doing ordinary things. Remedial massage takes a focused approach to those concerns, combining suitable hands-on techniques around your individual needs. Together, you and Alicia can identify a practical focus for the session and review how it feels, rather than following the same routine at every appointment.
View appointment optionsWhen your shoulders feel permanently raised or your neck gets tighter as the day goes on, another quick stretch may not feel like enough. You may be looking for focused attention to an area that keeps bothering you, rather than a general relaxation massage. Deep tissue work uses slower, directed pressure to address muscular tension, with the session shaped around where you feel restricted. The goal is to work towards more comfortable movement in everyday activities, while keeping the pressure manageable for you.
View appointment optionsSometimes it is one particular tender spot that keeps drawing your attention: beside a shoulder blade, through a tight muscle or in an area that feels uncomfortable when you move. You want that specific concern to receive attention, rather than be lost in a full-body routine. Trigger point work uses focused pressure on suitable tender areas as part of a broader massage approach. Pressure is adjusted with your feedback; more pain is not the goal, and you can ask to pause at any time.
View appointment optionsA tense jaw can make small everyday things—chewing a meal, talking for a while or settling at the end of the day—feel like hard work. You may notice tenderness around your cheeks or tension that seems to travel into your neck and shoulders. The focus here is on discussing whether muscular tension is part of what you are experiencing and whether suitable hands-on care may help you feel more comfortable. Jaw symptoms have different causes, so dental or medical assessment may also be needed. Internal-mouth buccal massage is coming soon and is not included in current appointments.
View appointment optionsYou want to enjoy your training without the same tight calf, heavy legs or shoulder tension demanding attention every session. Perhaps you are getting back into exercise, preparing for an event or finding that a physical job leaves little energy for the activities you enjoy. Sports massage offers focused time for the muscles and areas that feel overworked, with pressure and technique adapted to your comfort. The aim is to support easier, more comfortable movement as part of your wider recovery routine—not to push through a new injury or replace rehabilitation.
View appointment optionsWhen a stretch feels limited or movement seems tight across a broader area, you may be looking for an approach that feels slower and more sustained. Myofascial release focuses on the connective tissue around muscles and may be included in a session aimed at improving your sense of ease and comfort in movement. Alicia can discuss where you feel restricted and how this approach could fit your care, without assuming that every sensation of tightness has the same cause.
View appointment optionsIf a persistent muscular concern keeps returning, you may be curious about techniques beyond hands-on massage. Dry needling is one option to discuss, using fine needles in selected areas rather than massage pressure alone. Whether it belongs in your appointment depends on your health history, suitability and preferences. Alicia can explain the intended purpose, possible discomfort, risks and alternatives so you can make an informed choice. It is optional—not a requirement for receiving remedial care.
View appointment optionsOngoing swelling or a feeling of heaviness can affect comfort, clothing and how confidently you move through the day. If you already have a swelling-related concern under medical care, you may be looking for gentle, individual support alongside that care. A lymphatic drainage appointment begins with checking whether the approach is suitable for your circumstances, including any surgery or advice from your treating clinician. Contact Alicia before booking; new or unexplained swelling needs medical assessment.
View appointment optionsIf you are curious about a different sensation from massage pressure, cupping uses suction on the skin and may be considered alongside hands-on work. It can be part of a focused appointment for muscular tension, depending on your needs and preferences. Before you choose it, Alicia can explain how it feels, why she might consider it and what the temporary skin marks can look like. It is one possible technique, rather than a necessary extra or a promise of a better result.
